My motivation in creating political awareness for the voting population is to encourage people in my community to exercise their most fundamental democratic right: to vote. I come from a family that rallied for the right to vote during the Civil Rights Movement in Alabama during the 1950s. and 60s. Needless to say, I have been acutely aware of those who struggled to win voting rights since the day I was born. Fascinated by the government's consistently pressing impact on its people, I was inspired to study political science and humanities. I earned my bachelor of arts in International Affairs and Spanish at Berry College in 2022. Though global politics is my most ardent passion, I am now striving to make a difference in my own backyard.  

It disappoints me to know that so few citizens vote and even fewer are adequately informed about this democratic process. I suspect this is due to certain practical barriers.  Day-to-day life is too busy to stay up to date with Congress' bills. Many people think these bills do not affect them. Many people think political issues are as plentiful as they are complicated. Researching which candidates are on which ballot for which election is time-consuming. processes are too complicated and do not affect them. Time for that to change! I aim to compile the goingsons of both the national and local Supreme Court, Congress, and Executive offices.
